We provided round-the-clock on-site security for Murphy Group across two compressor stations in Cambridgeshire, part of a £113 million National Grid contract. Our team stayed for seven years and delivered more than 240,000 hours of cover on a site where access points changed constantly.
Read the case studyWe provide SIA-licensed security guarding, mobile patrols, key holding and alarm response, and event security for commercial and residential sites across the UK. Our officers are directly employed and vetted to BS 7858 rather than supplied through an agency, and a 24/7 control room backs every site. Ashridge Group is an SIA Approved Contractor.
Our own employees. Every officer joins with prior industry experience and is screened to BS 7858 before their first shift. Ashridge Security is led by directors with backgrounds in the British Armed Forces and the private security sector, and new starters complete a structured induction before they are posted.
Training continues through our Career Development Programme, which keeps officers current on the risks a site actually faces rather than generic guard duties. We explain the thinking in developing professionals, not just posting guards.
Our front of house and security team has served Sony since 2017, and earned an internal Sony award for the work. Read the Sony case study
Static officers and gatehouse staffing to BS 7499, with a dedicated contract manager for every site. Officers are trained to your procedures, premises and people rather than a generic patrol script, and several clients have gone on to ask us to deliver security-awareness training to their own in-house teams.
We can also take over a contract at short notice. On the £1.5 billion A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon scheme we took over 24/7 guarding of 14 compounds after the incumbent contractor failed. For budgeting, our guide sets out what manned guarding costs in the UK.

Security, stewarding and medical liaison for public and private events and conferences, from crowd management and access control to full event-day security planning. Our project managers plan and run the operation, so your own team isn’t managing security on the day.
Event staff are trained to represent your brand at the front line. If you are hiring for an event, our checklist covers what to check before booking SIA-licensed event staff.
We protect empty commercial and residential premises against fire, theft, criminal damage and unauthorised access, and against the fly-tipping and graffiti that tend to follow. Cover is built from the measures below and scaled to the building and how long it will stand empty.
No, it is a fire safety service. When fire protection is offline or a building’s fire risk rises, our trained fire marshals patrol around the clock to spot hazards early, keep escape routes clear and start an evacuation if one is needed, so residents can stay in their homes while the defect is fixed.
It has its own team and compliance detail, set out on our waking watch page.
We arrange and manage CCTV monitoring and alarm verification through accredited specialist monitoring partners. Cameras are watched from a remote video response centre, and incidents are escalated to our patrols or the police, so monitoring works as one layer alongside guarding, patrols and key holding.
Yes. Every Ashridge security officer holds a valid SIA licence for the role they perform, and Ashridge Group is an SIA Approved Contractor, the Security Industry Authority’s quality scheme for private security firms. Officers are also vetted to BS 7858 before deployment. Waking watch is different: it is a fire safety role, staffed by trained fire marshals.
