Leeds is the largest legal and financial centre in England outside London, ranking third in the UK after London and Edinburgh. It exports around £2 billion of financial services a year, with 63% of the sector’s jobs classed as high-skilled. That concentration of multi-tenant corporate, legal and financial offices in the city centre drives demand for manned guarding, front-of-house reception, corporate concierge, access control and integrated facilities management.

Leeds is also a major logistics base. Stourton is the city’s largest logistics district with more than 40 warehouses, alongside Hunslet, Cross Green, Seacroft and the wider Aire Valley corridor, plus newer hubs such as Integral @ Thorpe Park (around 600,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space). These big-box sheds and yards drive constant demand for 24/7 gatehouse and yard security, HGV-flow management, access control and out-of-hours patrols. The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University, plus Leeds Teaching Hospitals, add large campus and clinical estates needing guarding and facilities support.

The Aire Valley Leeds Area Action Plan and continued city-centre and logistics development keep construction-site security in demand. Leeds also has a sizeable high-rise fire-safety programme: the city council historically deployed waking-watch fire marshals across 38 high-rise blocks before installing alarm systems, and is fitting sprinklers in 37 of its high-rise blocks. Where a building’s safety case requires it we provide compliant, NFCC- and Building Safety Act-aligned waking watch and fire patrols. We help transition to permanent alarm-led arrangements under the Waking Watch Replacement Fund.
