Ashridge Group provides SIA-licensed security guarding, mobile patrols, gatehouse and access control, facilities management and waking-watch cover across Sheffield and the wider Sheffield–Rotherham corridor. Every officer is SIA-licensed and BS 7858 vetted, with relief cover and a 24/7 control room so there are never gaps in your protection, across advanced-manufacturing plants, logistics yards, city-centre offices, university and hospital estates and high-rise residential blocks.
Sheffield sits at the centre of one of the UK’s flagship advanced-manufacturing clusters. The Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP), a 150-acre manufacturing technology park at Waverley, and Factory 2050 at Sheffield Business Park anchor the Sheffield–Rotherham corridor around junctions 33 and 34 of the M1, led by the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). These high-value R&D and production sites need robust perimeter protection, access control, gatehouse cover and hard and soft facilities management.
Around those plants, industrial and logistics units along the M1 corridor drive demand for round-the-clock yard, gatehouse and HGV-flow security, while Sheffield city centre’s professional-services, public-sector and council offices need manned guarding, reception and corporate concierge. The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals add large campus and healthcare estates requiring student-accommodation concierge, patrols and access control.
Fire-safety demand is acute. In November 2025, tests on external insulation identified nine council-owned tower blocks in Sheffield as a fire risk: six at Callow Mount, Callow Drive and Callow Place in Gleadless Valley, and three at Leverton Gardens and Leverton Drive in Highfield. These are now under round-the-clock waking-watch patrols while combustible insulation is removed and replaced, with a further 15 towers assessed as low risk. We provide SIA-licensed, fire-trained officers for interim waking watch aligned with NFCC guidance and the Building Safety Act, as a short-term measure that supports duty-holders until permanent alarms and compliant cladding are in place.
