Facilities Management company, Ashridge Group, makes a wonderful surprise donation of £1,000 to Red Balloon!
Explaining the reason for their gift, Mark Walker, Co-Founder and Group Chairman, said: “We sponsored James Redden an adventurer, on his epic crossing of Lake Baikal in Russia, and in conversation he mentioned Red Balloon. We were so impressed to read about the work that you carry out with young people, and felt encouraged to act.”
“We could see that your support is more important than ever, during these difficult times, and as a consequence we wanted to make a small charitable donation to your great cause”.
Samantha Sherratt, Red Balloon’s Director of Fundraising and Communications, said: “It is lovely to receive a donation out of the blue, and to know that Red Balloon was nominated by an Ashridge Ambassador, makes it extra special. We will ensure that this gift is well spent in supporting young people to overcome bullying or other challenges in their lives, so they can rebuild their self esteem, take their exams and find their place in the adult world.”
